UPDATE: PAID UNION MEETING

Update: 29 May 2023

The proposed teachers’ strike on Wednesday 31st May has been called off so that teachers can consider a revised offer from the Ministry of Education. The offer will not be available until tomorrow and a Paid Union Meeting for teachers’ has been agreed to between 1:00pm & 3:00pm this Wednesday afternoon.

We will not be able to provide normal programmes in the afternoon as the teachers will be in meetings at this time. We intend to stay open as long as possible on Wednesday but will need to release children at 1:45pm ahead of the time that teachers will be unavailable. We will have support staff available to look after children who cannot be picked up earlier.

We ask for your support with this so that the children remain safe and the industrial action is hopefully settled.

PINK SHIRT DAY

Leabank School has joined the Pink Shirt Day movement to Korero Mai, Korero Atu, Mauri Tu, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!

To celebrate this important kaupapa we would like our students to wear something pink tomorrow Friday 19th May 2023, this will be a gold coin donation event.  All money raised by our kura will go to the Mental Health Foundation.

Let’s get behind this important cause.
